Degree Requirements
To complete a Ph.D. in Christian Business Management Administration, students are typically required to complete a 60-credit program, which includes advanced coursework and a thesis. Students will develop their knowledge of funding models for non-profit and large Christian organizations, current managerial issues and projects, and essential theories in accounting, economics, finance, management, and marketing. Additionally, students will learn critical thinking and research skills to produce autonomous research results and effectively communicate them to both expert and non-expert audiences. The program is designed for experienced businesspeople and Christian leaders looking to expand their knowledge, skills, and experience to better address major Christian organizational issues. The program typically takes three years to complete.
The prescribed courses cover topics such as the Genesis Genealogies, the Lamp of the Covenant, and the Ten Bestowals and the Beatitude. Elective courses include Ancient Near Eastern Studies 1 and 2, Theology of the Gospel, and The Theory and Practice of Biblical Theology.
The program also includes core courses such as God’s Calling, Gifts, Talents, Skills, and Leadership, Sufficiency of the Word of God, Skills for Deeper Ministry, Toward Global Ministry, Research Methodology/Dissertation Writing, and two D.Min. Project courses. Through these courses, students will gain an advanced understanding of Christian Studies and ministry, learn to apply biblical theology to various ministry settings, and develop competencies for a theologically reflective practice of ministry.
